Janet Jackson went through many ups and downs during her decades-long career, but she’s back in the spotlight and stronger than ever. 2019 is shaping up to be her year, and she’s currently getting ready to kick off her residency in Las Vegas called Metamorphosis.
Jackson will take the stage in Sin City shortly after officially being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. She’ll perform a total of 15 shows at the Park Theater at the Park MGM resort, starting with the first concert on May 17.
Jackson’s Las Vegas residency couldn’t have come at a better time since it marks the 30-year anniversary of her seminal studio album Rhythm Nation. The five-time Grammy winner will be the centerpiece of this explosive show, but she’ll use it to encourage her audience to find their own light.
“Metamorphosis peels back the layers of the immensely private life of Janet Jackson, sharing her transformation from a young girl with issues of self-esteem to global Icon,” reads the official description of Jackson’s Las Vegas residency.
